Do Muirsis faucets contain lead?
No. All Muirsis faucets are manufactured to comply with the California AB1953 low lead regulations.
What type of aerator is used in the Muirsis faucet?
Muirsis faucets use a 1.5GPM aerator or a 2.2GPM aerator.
What is the average life of the AA alkaline batteries?
With an average usage of 10 to 15 times per day, you can expect a battery life of about 18 months.
What type of batteries do you recommend?
AA alkaline is the preferred battery. These can be purchased at just about any store.
How do I know the batteries need to be changed?
The power LED on the control panel will blink repeatedly. Please replace all the batteries.
Do I need to install a GFCI outlet under my sink?
No. The system can run on battery power alone. We recommend using all eight batteries in the control box. Populate both battery boxes with AA alkaline batteries.
How frequently should I clean out the filters in the water inlets of the control box?
We recommend you clean out the filters at least once a year. If the water flow is reduced, this could be an indication that the filters are clogged. Remove the filters and rinse them out to clear any debris from the filter. Please consult the maintenance section of your user's manual.
Do I need to clean out the aerator?
We recommend cleaning out the aerator on an annual basis. Use the supplied aerator key to remove the housing. Rinse out the aerator and re-install it.
Can I order replacement parts for my Muirsis faucet?
Replacement parts are available. Please contact the Muirsis Customer Service Department for replacement part inquires.
Can I use the faucet outdoors?
It is not recommended to use the faucet outdoors because of the sensitivity of the infra-red sensors used in all Muirsis faucets. Direct sunlight will adversely affect the detection distance of the sensors.
What is the maximum water run time using the automatic water flow function?
The maximum automatic water flow run time is preset to 2 minutes.
I have a specific finish I would like to use but I do not see it available on your website. What are my options?

Are there any special cleaning products I should use on my Muirsis faucet?
Muirsis recommends cleaning the faucet with a mild soap and warm water. No special cleaning agents are necessary. Avoid using scouring pads or harsh chemicals. Using these types of products will scratch or stain the finish.
